As shady and shadow galloped through the terrain , the undisturbed dust flew everywhere making the place look like there was a mini sandstorm. The power of there hooves thundering on the ground made it rumble. Then a couple of metres away they seen , what looked like , a very big bird landing and quickly retreating into the tree's shadow suddenly quickened up his pace , desperate to see this enormous bird. But shady on the other hand slowed down to a canter , then trot , "You coming??" shadow gasped excitedly. But shady shook his head "no" he disagreed "we have to get back and tell rowana and spirit" shady shouted backing up into the canopy of green trees . Shadow was still galloping at lightning speed toward the creepy creature ,he was so  engulfed in what he was doing , he didn't even hear shady. So straining his muscles he took him self off in a gallop. But shadow was no easy horse to catch up to "shadow!!" he cried against the violent wind , finally shadow turned his head toward shady but as he did so his front hoof twisted in a puddle making hi lose his balance and slip and fell backward onto his back he landed with a bang making water and sand dance into the air then he let out a painful whinny "Shadow!!" shady shrieked in disbelief "no , no no no!!"" he sobbed as shadow flickered his eyes shut "not my brother , please!" he weeped desperately , shadow sighed , was this breath his last. Shady shouted for help for a long time but the only reply he got was the waving trees drowning out his voice. "need help?" a clam , gentle singing voice asked "um.....yes please" shady replied uneasily. Hearing the gentle hooves of a little horse approaching them. She was a grey horse with mist hogging her body. She looked like no normal horse and thhe wind was whispering sweet melody's to her. Shady gasped and swallowed. "so how can you help" he said in a shaken tone.
            Meanwhile , back at the stable of shady and shadow Rowana and spirit waited worried "I wonder when they will be back" Rowana asked spirit. Spirit looked reassuringly at her. "don't worry , shady and shadow wouldn't run away , I know they wouldn't." Rowana put her head in fear "I hope so" she murmured worryingly  then as she finished the sentence they seen a faint ghostly mist enter the room. they exchanged terrified glances and sighed.
